Hello APC. You are the French partner of DISCOVER. Now the project is about to release the Specific Guidebook, the localized version of the General Guidebook. Did you meet any hurdles when going from the General to the Specific Guidebook? In general, what kind of difficulties did you encounter preparing this tool? and why?
Hello AISFOR. We are very happy to begin this part of the DISCOVER project. The past-year theoretical work becomes operational and the Specific Guidebook is the cornerstone of that. Accompagnying CEP initiators in their analysis of opportunity, technical feasibility, and their first contacts with installators, gave us good clues on how to specify the first steps of the Guidebook. However, so far we lack reference of achieved projects in condominiums. Not all the steps of CEPs and PV projects are sufficiently known to us, especially the later stages of planning , and the phases of realization and operation. Another hurdle we face is the absence of a clear framework, or a national procedure for ECs, and the multiplicity of local stakeholders. We are gathering experience to keep refining the Specific Guidebook.
Can you tell the main elements of innovation of the Specific Guidebook, according to APC?
We are happy of the format of the Specific Guidebook developped by our partner PIXEL. The General Guidebook lists 34 generic steps: such details has helped us being comprehensive and logical. We could integrate quite easily our specificities. As a web tool, then, the Interactive Specific Guidebook it is going to be very user-friendly and dynamic.
