What is "SHARE"?

SHARE – Simulator for Holistic Energy–Economic Assessment for Renewable Energy Communities – was developed to help CEP initiators overcome limited resources, technical gaps, and uncertainty around photovoltaic and shared-energy investments. It enables stakeholders to assess the feasibility, profitability, and environmental benefits of Renewable Energy Communities and Collective Self-Consumption initiatives.

Service description

SHARE provides decision-support and consultancy services for municipalities, SMEs, citizens, and other CEP initiators. Through an in-house Excel-based simulator, it evaluates energy flows, investment and operating costs, revenues, incentives, environmental impacts, and multiple financing models. Delivered via in-person or remote support, the service generates tailored, data-driven assessment reports and multi-scenario simulations to support informed investment decisions.

Innovation

SHARE’s innovation lies in its fully in-house development, guaranteeing transparency, neutrality, and traceability of all calculations. Its customizable structure allows rapid updates to regulatory changes and specific user needs. The tool integrates advanced data sources—hourly zonal energy prices, ARERA load profiles—and dynamic simulation algorithms that model real energy-sharing and economic performance. Continuous user feedback drives ongoing enhancements, improving accuracy, usability, and relevance in a fast-evolving energy landscape.

Feedback and Results

Early users, including municipalities and research bodies, valued the clarity, reliability, and methodological transparency of results. Their feedback led to improvements such as downloadable PDF summaries and standardized consumer categories, while additional financing options may be added in the future.
